There's some that perform better, some worse, but just go with what speaks to you there, there's no super obvious easy mode hack here. What melee damage set to take? Doesn't really matter. Regeneration also has the same deal, but Regen's a weaker-performing armor set unless you know what you're doing. Some other powersets have various end management mechanics, but these tend to be available later on. Why? Because they have a passive power available early on that boosts your endurance recovery, meaning you don't need to worry about blue bar to cast your powers. Bio Armor, Willpower, or Radiation Armor. Of the melee powersets, the easiest to start with for armor is. Brute if you want to off-tank (or main tank with enough investment), Stalker if you like stealth mechanics. No additional mechanics, the Scrapper inherent is just random crit hits. This means Brute, Scrapper, Stalker are the go-to starting archetypes (classes). Trinity isn't really a hugely important thing here. Hell, in the long run, people are comfortable taking teams of eight where everyone's punchy-punchy and just going to town. And you don't need to worry about mez protection (being sent to sleep, stunned, etc).īear in mind this game runs off base group size of eight in most content, so, like, one tank, one support, and then seven DPS is perfectly fine, there's no issue where DPS characters can't get on teams. You can solo easily if there are no teams around. You've got armor to keep yourself alive, don't need to worry about crowd control or weird tricks to stay upright. No expectation of tanking or anything, no need to worry about support. The easiest character type to play is melee DPS.
